Snack vs. Chef pits 12 extraordinary chefs against each other in a battle to recreate classic snacks. In a Netflix cooking competition, they had to create their own snack inspired by one of the most popular snacks of all time. Christian Gill, who has previously participated in the Beat Bobby Flay and Ultimate Thanksgiving Challenge, is one of 12 chefs who will compete on the show.
Snack’s action against the chef is as follows:
“This new culinary tournament, hosted by comedians Megan Stalter and Hari Kondabolu, pits 12 chefs against each other in the ultimate snack battle. They will be challenged to not only copy some of the world’s most famous snacks, but also design their own unique dishes inspired by famous classics. Only one person will win the $50,000 prize.
The show will launch on the streaming platform on November 30.

Christian Gill, La’el Collin’s personal chef, is one of the chefs who will be joining Snack vs. The owner of Boomtown Biscuits & Whiskey has been featured on several Food Network series, and he’s now entering a Netflix cooking competition. The chef is motivated by his mother and grandmother, but he only improves their skills by trying new things. Christian was speaking on WLWT News 5 after winning Guy’s Grocery Games, where he talked to Colin and Kelly about his experience on the show, where the chef used Cincinnati peppers to make the winning chili poutine his.
Kelly said the two are like fans eager to watch Snack vs. Upcoming Chef. They asked about the bounty because it “affects a lot of people”, and he replied:
“Kellogg’s No Kid Hungry initiative will feed nearly 200,000 children. They’re going to give all those kids lots of meals in my honor, which is amazing. I was about 50,000, then I was about 100,000, and then I forgot. That’s 200,000. This is the first award won. I made a total of $32,500 from the show, but feeding so many children is crazy.”
In 2019, the chef entered the Ultimate Challenge for Thanksgiving, competing with some of America’s most skilled chefs to craft the best Thanksgiving-themed dishes. He won the tournament and received a $25,000 prize. After defeating Bobby Flay, Snack vs. Chef continued the Jungle Jim’s International Markets podcast, where Mark Borison and Gill discussed the Food Network show. When Mark asked the chef about his time on the show, he replied:
“Beating Bobby Flay was a really crazy experience for me because I’ve never done a show like it before and I feel like with so many Food Network shows the recipe is pretty easy to cut. and paste.”
Christian expressed surprise that Bobby’s show was recorded in front of a live audience and described the idea of the show. He informed the podcast host that because JB Smoove was the host, they had to offer vegan food.
He continued:
“Vegetarian plus 20 minutes plus bok choy is the perfect trio, because I don’t know exactly what I’m going to do until I’m halfway through.”
