Fox News host Carley Shimkus and husband Peter Buchignani just had a baby. Shimkus made the announcement on Instagram with a video from the movie Shot of the Morning. The title of the article reads:
“Hello, Brock. Welcome to the world. You opened a door in our hearts that we didn’t even know existed. Your father and I adore you! Thanks for the warm welcome, @foxandfriends! I may not be able to come back on Monday. But I’ll see you all soon.”

Todd Prio and Ashley Strohmer, the hosts, also expressed their joy at announcing the news in a video. Prio said Carley’s child will be raised by the entire Fox and Friends family. According to Strohmier, the boy’s name was Brock Edward and he weighed 7 pounds an ounce when he was born. Shimkus confirmed she was pregnant in an interview with Fox & Friends First in August 2022:
“I will become a mother!” This makes me very happy. I can’t wait to see my husband, Pete, with the baby. He will be the best dad ever! … There have been many changes, many of which are positive.”
Peter Buchignani graduated from Princeton University.
Peter Buchignani, born September 21, 1986, has two siblings, living and working in Chicago since 2015. According to his LinkedIn and Facebook profiles, he has lived in Illinois for most of his life. He graduated in political science from Princeton University. He used to play football and was named All-Ivy twice. He also played defense and finish at the college level as well as high school basketball. He decided to go into business and started working as a sales analyst at Barclays Capital. He worked there from 2009 to 2011, after which he moved to Deutsche Bank.
Peter started working at Amherst Pierpoint Securities in business development selling securitized products in 2015. He is a huge fan of the Michigan Wolverines. Carley Shimkus and Peter Buchignani first met in 2011 at a later birthday party. In 2013, their acquaintance turned into a love relationship and they married in 2015.
