According to Sheetal Patel, during the COVID-19 lockdown of 2020 she decided to pursue a career in the entertainment and modeling industry. While giving an interview he said,
well you see..! I lived in a shabby, small apartment in New York City. This was having a huge impact on my mental health. This was when I started looking at the entertainment industry and realized how much they make people happy with their acts. At that time, I said again, yes! This is what I want and this is where I will go.”
After deciding to pursue a career in modeling, in 2020, Sheetal Patel started receiving modeling offers from many international brands. In 2020, she was offered a modeling contract by the American donut making company named Dunkin’ Donuts.

In 2022, Sheetal Patel was selected as a participant in season two of the Indian matchmaking reality show titled Indian Matchmaking. During an interview, she revealed that she was not concerned about the OTT platform on which the show would be streamed, but was only there to find her true love. She also said that through the show she wanted to find a life partner who was a family man. He said,
When I was shortlisted to join the show, I was worried about only one thing, that was to find a life partner with whom I could spend my whole life. I wasn’t even thinking about which platform it would be shown on, I came to know about Netflix much later. I was looking for a man who is a family man and gives priority to family above everything else.”
