Joseph Czuba will remain behind bars as he awaits trial for the murder of Wadea Al-Fayoume and the serious assault of his mother, Hannan Shahin, in Plainfield, Illinois. Czuba, the victims’ owner, attacked the couple because of the ongoing conflict between Hamas and Israel and because they were Muslims. He allegedly believed that Shanin “was going to call Palestinian friends to come and hurt them.”
