Paternity battle with ND Tiwari
Ujjwala Tiwari was in a relationship with ND Tiwari since the 1970s. At that time, Tiwari was married to Sushila Tiwari (died 1991) and Ujjwala was already separated from Bipin Sharma. Ujjwala became pregnant with Tiwari’s child in the late 1970s. The child was Rohit Shekhar. However, Tiwari did not consider Rohit as his son.

Both mother and son tried to contact Tiwari several times but were stopped from meeting them. After several unsuccessful attempts to reach out to ND Tiwari, Rohit finally decided to file a paternity suit against ND Tiwari in 2007. He filed suit in 2008; Claiming himself to be his biological son. After almost six years of legal battle, the Delhi High Court declared Rohit as Tiwari’s biological son on the basis of DNA test.

Death
Rohit Shekhar died on 16 April 2019. He was murdered by his wife Apoorva Shukla by strangulation and strangulation.

- In 1995, he and his mother Ujjwala tried to reach Tiwari, but Tiwari’s security guard stopped them at the gate.
