Jimmie Allen is speaking publicly with his ex-wife Alexis Gale and their children.
The 37-year-old country singer has been embroiled in a scandal recently. He was accused of rape and sexual assault by a former manager last week.
His wife, from whom he separated last month, filed for divorce soon after. They were married for three years.
In a public apology to his family, Jimmie touched on having an affair and some of the controversy surrounding it.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday (May 18), Jimmie shared his message.
“I want to publicly apologize to my wife Alexis for humiliating her with my affair,” he wrote. “I am ashamed that my choices have embarrassed her. That’s something she didn’t deserve at all.”
He also apologized to his children “for being a bad example of a man and a father.”
Jimmie and Alexis had two children together and he has another from a previous relationship.
“I am working to become a better person that my children can be proud of. My goal is to be better than the generation before me,” she continued.
Shifting focus, he addressed how the music industry affected him.
“This business requires a lot from you. It is full of temptations that can paralyze you and ruin everything you have built. I am ashamed that I was not strong enough to resist them,” she said. “I will no longer be a victim of my weaknesses.”
Jimmie is also facing career issues amid the controversies surrounding him.
