NBC’s Quantum Leap reboot proves the real dangers of time travel – Ben Song nearly sparked World War III in his latest jump!

NBC at first Quantum Leap Episode 14 seems like another example – albeit closer to home than before. Ben finds himself confronted with the family history of his fiancée, Addison Augustine (Katelyn Bassett). Ben Song Almost Caused World War III in Quantum Leap Episode 14
The core problem is that Ben operates on incomplete information. At first, he believed that Addison’s father, an aide on a warship conducting naval exercises in the South China Sea, was the one who had ignored the distress signal. In fact, XO Alexander Augustine (Brandon Routh) is just covering for the legendary captain who ordered. Ben tries to prove that the distress signal is real and the ship leaves the war game to help. The captain, Augustine’s father character, is dangerously unstable.
Ben’s mission is to change time and save the sinking submarine. Unfortunately, he quickly learns that this is not the worst timetable; Captain Drake wants to open fire on a Chinese submarine he considers a threat, and they are on the verge of World War III. A real skirmish between an American warship and a Chinese submarine outside China’s territorial waters, with the entire US fleet close by, will soon become nuclear. Ben convinces XO Augustine to defect, stopping World War III.
Quantum Leap Episode 14 Reveals How Dangerous Time Travel Really Is
Quantum Leap Episode 14 is by far the most vivid example of how badly time travel can be by mistake. Ben enters a completely unforeseen situation – not even knowing at first that this is a naval exercise and not an actual war. Quantum Leap Substantial changes to history have been made before, but not on this scale, as this incomplete knowledge almost destroyed the entire planet. Had he and Addison been a little slower, they wouldn’t have been able to prevent nuclear disaster.
