Death
On March 7, 2021, he died in a helicopter crash in Toux, northwestern France, at the age of 69, while visiting his vacation home in Normandy for the weekend. The pilot also died in the accident. Following his death, the Lisieux public prosecutor’s office (Calvados) announced that it had opened a judicial investigation into the murder.
