Jarvo 69 is a British prankster and pitch invader known for his strange pranks and disrupting various sports matches by entering the field posing as a game official or a player. He came into limelight after entering the field during the India vs Australia cricket match in the 2023 ODI World Cup. He has also gone to jail several times for his mischiefs.

He and two of his friends stopped a football match between Tottenham Hotspur and Partizan Belgrade in November 2014. He entered the diving competition at the 2016 Rio Olympics and dived during the final round.

Fined and banned for 3 years
On November 27, 2014, Jarvoo, 69, along with two of his friends, Nathaniel Thompson and Helder Gomes, ran onto the field and briefly stopped the football game, after which they were arrested.

In December 2014, he appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court, where he pleaded guilty to a charge of entering a playground without lawful excuse or authority. They were later fined £155 each and banned from attending any football games in England or Wales for three years.

On July 5, 2015, Jarvoo, 69, along with his friends Helder Gomes, Andrit Ferrizoli, Dan Vehan Lee and Ebenezer Mensah, carried out a robbery at the National Portrait Gallery in London and a kidnapping at the Tate Gallery. They wore masks and shouted and screamed in art galleries and also carried their own makeshift artworks, which they displayed while they were looting artworks from the galleries.

He was later arrested on the day of the incident for public order offenses and convicted of an offense under Section 4 Public Order Act 1986, namely causing fear and inciting violence. On 16 May 2016, the City of London Magistrates Court sentenced Jarvis to two concurrent prison terms of 20 weeks for the National Portrait Gallery incident and eight weeks for the Tate Gallery offence.

Multiple disruptions in India vs England match
In the India vs England Test series in 2021, Jarvoo 69 disrupted the match on multiple occasions at different venues. In the Lord’s Test during that series, he entered the pitch wearing an Indian jersey with his surname Jarvo and jersey number 69 printed on it; However, security officials escorted him off the pitch.

During the Oval Test match, he first hid in the bathroom and when instructed to do so, he ran towards the pitch. He collided with England batsman Jonny Bairstow after which the ground security had to take him off the field. Following these pitch invasions, he was banned from all playing fields for 2 years and also banned from traveling abroad for 1 year.

As of October 2022, he was facing 15 charges relating to 21 offenses including being drunk during a flight and pitch invasion at White Hart Lane.

Pitch invasion in 2023 ODI World Cup
On 8 October 2023, during India’s match against Australia in Chennai, Jarvo 69 came onto the field and started talking to Indian cricketer Virat Kohli after which security officials took him off the field. Seeing the incident, many people made fun of the security arrangements. Following this incident, he was banned from spectators for all matches of the 2023 ODI World Cup by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
