Gabrielle Union is inspired by her relationship with Dwyane Wade for her new Netflix movie the perfect find.
If you didn’t know, there’s a nine-year age difference between the 50-year-old actress and the 41-year-old basketball star.
Her new movie portrays a relationship with an age gap, and it turns out that Gabrielle was able to draw on the experience of her early days with Dwyane while filming.
She spoke about that moment with her husband, revealing a family member who asked a big question in the process during a recent interview.

Talking with USA TodayGabrielle explained that she could easily relate to the age difference in the film because she “lived it.”
“Being with someone who is nine years younger than me and dealing with it,” he explained. “First of all, [Wade’s mother] I was like… ‘What do you want?’ … So you get out of those things.”
Gabrielle and Dwyane talk quite candidly about their relationship. In fact, earlier this month, the NBA star opened up about her decision to split her finances in half.
