America’s Got Talent (AGT) Season 17 premiered a new episode on NBC on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. ET. The first match of the quarter-finals lasted for two hours. The quarterfinals will last five weeks and each week will feature 11 acts, two of which will advance to the finals based on American votes.
Ben Lapidus returned to the stage with a digital rock performance of Parmesan Cheese, causing an uproar from the judges and audience. While the judges were once again stunned by the music, the audience had mixed feelings about his performance. Some applauded him, while others criticized the program for sending him through the program and excluding other excellent contenders.
Fan-favorite characters Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum were back on the jury, delighting audiences with their eccentric personalities. Together with the audience, they selected 54 performers and one wild card participant, comedian Jordon Conley, who will advance to the quarterfinals, of which 10 will compete in the final.

Doylestown, Pennsylvania is where the singer grew up. He told NBC that growing up in Pennsylvania helped him appreciate music even more.
“I grew up completely immersed in Pennsylvania’s pop-punk, emo, hardcore-punk culture.” So from a musician’s perspective, that’s my bread and butter. So everything I do to look like a parody comes from the immense love and respect for this music that has influenced my entire existence.”
AGT contestant is also a podcast sound designer, Who Killed host Avril Lavigne? a comedy podcast that tells the story of time travel.
Fans have mixed feelings about AGT contestant Ben Lapidus.
