Lil Jordan Humphrey’s parents, Keith and Chevette Humphrey, are originally from Texas. The couple has four children, Lil Jordan being the youngest. Broncos wide receiver Lil Jordan isn’t small. Keith and Chevette Humphrey, parents of Lil Jordan Humphrey, have always encouraged their youngest son to be involved in athletics. His mother, Chevette, wanted him to be a basketball player. Lil Jordan wanted to be a basketball player and, more likely, be as famous as the guy he shares his name with. However, fate had other plans for him. Chevette came up with the nickname “Lil Jordan”. Terry, LJ’s brother, wanted his brother’s name to be Michael Jordan, but Chevette didn’t want to use that name exactly. So she named her child Lil Jordan.
In an interview with 247Sports, Chevette said, “We were trying to talk it into existence.” But Lil Jordan didn’t stay small. Chevette is 5’9 and her husband, Keith, is 6′, but the wide receiver has grown to 6’6. LJ’s passion for football developed while watching SportsCenter with his father. The father-son combo would watch game clips and LJ would point out which way the runner should turn before that happened.
At the age of nine, his passion for track and field inspired him to train with his father. LJ and Terry would run two miles in the morning before doing an hour of P90X. Chevette goes by the name Queenc Humphrey on Facebook and has posted several family photos. Keith tweeted photos of his child practicing with his team, as well as news of his son’s signing with the Denver Broncos. He captioned the photo, “Lol, same story,” expressing his displeasure that Lil couldn’t get a spot on one of the teams. Later in the comments, Keith added: “Yeah, he’ll be OK. They guard it until it reaches its peak.”
Siblings of Lil Jordan Humphrey
The wide receiver is the youngest of four siblings. However, his siblings decided to keep him out of the public eye. His brother, Terry Michael, who wanted Lil Jordan to be named after Michael Jordan, lives in Dallas, Texas. Terry’s Facebook page has various photos of his family at football events. However, most of these photos were taken while Lil Jordan was still playing for the University of Texas. Lil Jordan has another sibling, Devontae Humphrey-Wade. Devontae lives in Houston, Texas and works as an insurance broker. He also works as a property manager and was previously employed as a retail supervisor. Lil Jordan didn’t post many family photos on social media and tried to keep his personal life out of the public eye.
