Jill Chin and Jacob Rapini, another Bachelor couple in Heaven, gave it up. Jill hosted the Click Bait with Bachelor Nation podcast with Joe Amabile and Natasha Parker on Thursday, December 1, 2022. She explained that she broke up with Jacob after a brief relationship then turned it off. Jill and Jacob chose to go on a private date on the eighth season of Bachelor in Paradise. The former couple were doing well until the unexpected broke up of Breaking Week when Jacob befriended newlywed Kate Gallivan while Jill was away.
Jill and Jacob break up soon after, but reunite in a reunion, giving their love a second chance. Jill discussed the breakup with her other podcast co-hosts and said:
“What about the relationship?” Some might argue that the launch was a failure. Unfortunately, it got him off to a rough start, but it was quickly discontinued.”

Jill and Jacob return to the beach for a second chance at love on Bachelor in Paradise Season 8. Despite appearing in Week 1, the pair didn’t meet until Episode 5 of the competition, when Jill decided to date Jakov. The pair previously met on one of the most unusual dates on the show and stayed together until a major turning point broke their relationship. Host Jesse Palmer revealed a twist during Breakup Week as the girls initially had to leave the beach and stay in hotels, while their relationships had to meet a new group of women and try challenge their relationship. While Jill and the other women were gone, they were greeted by a new group of men.
The turning point created a lot of drama as many relationships were put to the test, with some succeeding and others failing. Jill and Jacob are in the latter group because Jacob is attached to newcomer Kate Gallivan while Jill struggles to separate from him. When she got back, Jacob ended their relationship, claiming he had a better relationship with a real estate agent. Jill and Jacob reunited in November 2022 and decided to give their love another chance after the two made a big gesture on their reunion show Bachelor in Paradise.
During the episode’s airing, the two shared photos and messages on their social media accounts, admitting that they were giving each other a chance, which sent fans into a frenzy. However, Jill announced on the Click Bait podcast the following month that the relationship was over. Jill explains that she has no choice but to break the trust. The reality TV star also revealed that the couple had been planning a vacation to Rhode Island, but “that’s when things unfortunately fell apart”.
Jill stated:
“There’s absolutely no other choice.” I have no choice but to do what’s best for me. And there’s only one line and one standard that you have for yourself that you can’t let others cross.”
The Bachelor in Paradise star went on to emphasize the importance of trust in a relationship:
“I have no malice.” I don’t make negative predictions. Confidence has been shaken. And that communication and trust is essential in a long-distance relationship, and we lack both.”
Jill also said that despite the fact that the couple broke up, she didn’t want Jacob to be harmed. She stated:
“I don’t want Jacob to be harmed. I believe that if he puts in a little effort, he will become a good companion for someone in the future. I hope he will and someone will. answer him.”
While some couples have seen the end of Bachelor in Paradise, got engaged, or left the island as a couple, fans have also seen plenty of breakups. While some remained friendly, others caused much unrest that lasted long after the reunion show aired.
