I Hate Suzie Too Part 2 of I Hate Suzie premieres on HBO Max on Thursday, December 22 at 3:01 a.m. ET. The show’s first season follows the life of Suzie Pickles (Billie Piper), an actress whose life is turned upside down after her smartphone is hacked and her intimate photos are leaked. There are eight episodes in total, each focusing on “one of the eight traumatic episodes” that Suzie is going through. It is based on the Kübler-year Ross concept of the stages of grief, including denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance.

Suzie’s first season ends as she begins to understand her situation and has to make some big decisions. After the leak, we witnessed Suzie’s fight against her ex, friends, lover and herself in the previous episode. He even became addicted to cocaine and publicly broke down, but eventually accepted his situation.
Suzie pissed me off. Billie Piper will also reprise the role of Suzie. She’s got a new company, a journalist, and a dance job for shows like Dance Crazee, the reality TV competition that keeps audiences glued to screens on Saturday nights. Suzie returns to her first love, the audience, after losing everything. Fighting her ex-husband, Cob, with the help of her best friend Naomi, she must try to keep her son Frank alive while participating in Dance Crazee. She must learn to navigate her new life as a single mother and ex-wife. Unlike the first season, I Hate Suzie Too will only have three episodes and will be considered a ‘anti-Christmas’ special.

British actress and former singer Billie Piper stars in the play, with Leila Farzad, Daniel Ings, Nathaniel Martello-White, Matthew Jordan-Caws and Emma Smithin supporting the lead. Piper was nominated for Best Actress at the BAFTAs 2021 for her role in the series.
Lucy Prebble and Piper created the series, and Prebble also wrote the screenplay. It was directed by Georgi Banks-Davies and Anthony Neilson, while the music was composed by Johnny Lloyd and Nathan Coen. Piper rose to fame at the age of 15 with her breakout song Since We Want To, and built a reputation with albums like Honey to the B and Walk of Life. She eventually left music to pursue acting, appearing in Doctor Who, Secret Diary of a Call Girl, Penny Dreadful, Collateral, and countless others.
