Tina Fey Reveals Reason Original ‘Mean Girls’ Stars Didn’t Cast Musical Movie

Tina Fey explains why 2004 Bad Girls The cast did not reunite for the new musical film.

During an interview with The New York TimesThe 53-year-old actress and writer shared that there were efforts to involve the original stars, but it didn’t work out.

He also discussed the possibility of a Bad Girls sequel with Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried and Lacey Chabert.

When asked what her roles in the musical film would have been, Tina responded, “We’ll never know.”

He added: “They’re busy people, so it didn’t turn out well, but we tried and we all loved each other.”

Unfortunately for fans, it doesn’t look like a sequel is in the works either.

“For me, part of the reason why there is so much at stake in the story is because we are all so young and the feelings are huge, the love is huge and the friendship is huge in a way. [that it isn’t with] middle-aged moms,” Tina told the newspaper. “I love writing about middle-aged people, but I don’t know.”

Lindsay Lohan recently made her first red carpet appearance after having a baby in the Bad Girls musical film premiere.
