On 2 February 2020, he married Dr. Neerja Baiju, who works as a Casualty Medical Officer in a government hospital in Thripunithura, Kerala. In an interview he told that it was an arranged marriage. He said,
Many people are asking me whether it was a love marriage, but to be honest it was an arranged marriage. I met Neerja through a mutual friend a few months ago as my family was looking for a bride for me. It was like an alliance through a friend. Our family is broad-minded, and I am someone who believes in equality of people and union of minds rather than looking at compatibility through horoscope, caste or religion.

I met Neerja. As we talked, we understood that we both share a similar wavelength and have similar interests. So, I took the next step to the official ‘Pennukanal’ to meet his family, who are Hindus. To my surprise they agreed and finally, both our families decided to organize the wedding in Ernakulam.
