Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is coming under fire for his behavior on the set of the upcoming Christmas action movie. one red.
The Wrap recently reported that sources directly involved in the film project claimed Johnson would arrive up to eight hours late. The delay would cause the film crew to film around him.
It was further reported that Dwayne Johnson allegedly developed the habit of urinating in water bottles to save time on other film sets. Apparently this became a problem in the one red set too.
“On set, away from his trailer, if he needs to pee, he doesn’t go to the public bathroom,” a source shared. “She urinates in a Voss water bottle and her team or personal assistant has to get rid of it.”
However, a spokesperson for the film’s production company, Amazon MGM, issued a statement to The Wrap denying that any such problems occurred on set.
“Dwayne Johnson and Seven Bucks have been incredible partners in one red,”, reads the spokesperson. They also said that the film is for audiences of all ages. They promised that the movie will be a big hit in the upcoming Christmas season.
“Our testing has been very strong – the reaction from CinemaCon speaks for itself,” the spokesperson continued. “And we couldn’t have done it without Dwayne’s constant work and support.”
The spokesperson added that any report implying that the production team had to fix Dwayne Johnson’s alleged tardiness is “ridiculous and false.”
Amazon MGM hopes to turn Red One into a potential franchise. The film’s description reads: “After a shocking kidnapping at the North Pole, the commander of the ELF Task Force must team up with the world’s most infamous bounty hunter to save Christmas.”
Dwayne Johnson stars in the film alongside Chris Evans, Kiernan Shipka and JK Simmons.

Although Amazon MGM supports Dwayne Johnson, insiders continue to criticize the actor and One Red.
One source was blunt in saying that the movie is a “fucking mess.”
Dwayne Johnson’s delay or loss of several days of production reportedly cost the project at least $50 million. A colleague noted that the actor didn’t really care. “Dwayne really doesn’t give a damn…”
Meanwhile, another source revealed that the production’s budget did not exceed its initial budget of $250 million. “It is completely normal for there to be budget fluctuations within 15% of the target,” they further explained. “Which is exactly what we experienced.”
