In 2019, Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGSTI) officials raided various business locations, including that of Tollywood actress Lavanya Tripathi, to investigate possible tax evasion. It was reported that the actress was accused of not paying the required Goods and Services Tax (GST) for a business deal worth Rs 20 lakh. Officials conducted searches at one of his rented houses in Banjara Hills. Addressing the media, the GST officer said,
