Mukesh Madhavan was born on Tuesday, 5 March 1957 (age 64 years; as in 2021) in Kollam city of Kerala, India. His zodiac sign is Pisces. Mukesh Madhavan married South Indian actress Sarita in 1998. Mukesh and Sarita had two sons. His son Shravan is an actor. Relations between Mukesh and Sarita were not good and they got divorced in 2011.

Mukesh Madhavan started his acting career in 1982 with the film Ballon. In 1985, he acted in the film Mutharamkunnu Po directed by Sibi Malayil. He then did a series of slapstick comedies like Ponnam Kudathinu Pottu, Akkare Ninnoru Maaran, Boeing Boeing and Odaruthamva Alariyam. The film that proved to be successful for his career was “Ramji Rao Speaking” in 1989, directed by Siddiqui-Lal. This film established him as a leading actor in the Malayalam film industry. The Siddiqui-Lal duo worked like a lucky charm for them and they gave many hits like Harihar Nagar, Godfather, Hitler, Chronic Bachelor and Friends.
Of. Mukesh Madhavan played the character of Chacko, a CBI officer, in four films of the CBI series directed by Madhu. His character got a lot of popularity. Mukesh was a close friend of Mohanlal and played many supporting roles in his films such as Hello My Dear Wrong Number, Thalavattam, Vandanam, Akkare Akkare Akkare, Kakkakuyil and Boeing Boeing.

Controversy
Mukesh Madhavan was accused of sexual harassment by Bollywood casting director Tess Joseph following the #meetoo trend. Tess Joseph and Mukesh Madhavan were working for the same game show Koteshwaran. He told that during the shooting of a game show, Mukesh used to call him many times. On October 9, 2018, Tess took to her Twitter account to talk about her ordeal that occurred nearly two decades ago.
