Britney Spears opened up about bad experiences with Botox that made her look “beat up.” She also introduced her fans to the much-better alternative that she discovered.
The 41-year-old Glory pop princess took to social media to sing the praises of SiO Beauty‘s face patches, which are supposed to help combat wrinkles.
In the process of talking about her new fav beauty products, she addressed what happened to her when she had Botox injections in the past. She also opened up about another cosmetic procedure she’s had done before.

In a post on Instagram on Friday (August 11), Britney explained that Botox could go very wrong.
“I did Botox, and I wasn’t really happy with it because it swelled up my forehead. Therefore made the heaviness of my eyelids droop over, and it literally looked like someone beat me up. And to pay that much money to look like someone beat you up for the first two weeks… What’s the point,” she asked in a makeup-free video clip.
She was fresh-faced in the video, except for the SiO Beauty Forehead Wrinkle Patch that she was wearing.
“It’s like putty, and it sticks,” she explained of the product that can be worn up to 10 times. “It just really brightens my eyes and lifts my forehead without all those needles, the cost and, perhaps by chance them doing too much Botox and making your eyes droop over.”
According to Britney, she’s spent upwards of $4,000 for a session of Botox injections. One of the SiO patches retails for $36.
In the accompanying caption, she vowed to “never again” consult the doctors in Los Angeles.
Britney recalled her first cosmetic procedure being to her lips. It was performed in New York City, and she was thrilled. “So subtle, it was an adorable pout,” she said.
“For probably 10 to 15 years, I haven’t had mine done right, and what’s with the times when one eyebrow is up and one is down 🤨? I can’t even be seen for 2 weeks,” she wrote.
She continued, adding, “My friend’s sisters think it’s funny and laugh but I’d like to see what they would do if someone did that to their face. OK … so maybe in a movie like ‘Just Go with It’ where that girl’s eyebrows are messed up, that’s funny. But not in real life when one eye is black and blue and way higher than the other 👀. I cried and then I’m like, when is this gonna go away? ‘Oh, just give it a week or two.’ Sometimes the nerves act that way and have a reverse effect, and I’m like, ‘I look like somebody beat the s-it out of me’ !!! So of course, I go back and show the doctor. She says that’s completely normal, and I said, ‘then why can’t I go anywhere for two weeks?’ and my friend’s sisters laughed. F-CK BOTOX, it is horrific !!! Sio is unbelievable 💕🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎 !!!!”
Earlier this year Britney seemingly addressed the rumor that she had her breasts enlarged at the start of her career.
One of her collaborators also revealed a song of hers that was inspired by both Justin Timberlake and Colin Farrell.
