Mayank Dixit is an Indian casting director and an acting coach. She is known for her work in the film ‘Poorna – Courage Has No Limit’ (2017). In July 2023, he was badly beaten by some unknown persons after a fight over parking.

Mayank Dixit was born on Saturday, 11 January 1986 (age 37 years; as in 2023) in New Delhi. He did his schooling from Guru Harkrishna Public School, New Delhi. He did BA in Journalism and Mass Communication from Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, Pitampura, New Delhi. He did Diploma in Theater Acting. Later, he moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in the Hindi film industry.

Mayank Dixit started his career as an assistant director with the 2008 Bollywood film ‘Yuvraj’. He worked as an additional assistant director for the film ‘Ayesha’ (2010). He assisted film director Manoj Tiwari in ‘Hello Darling’ (2010). In 2012, he worked as a second assistant director for the films ‘Gattu’ and ‘Chalo Driver’.

In 2019, he worked as an acting workshop director for the biographical film ‘Birsa Munda’, where taught acting to hundreds of tribal people who worked as background artists in the film.

Controversy
caught in a fight
On July 2, 2023, Mayank Dixit had a fight with some unknown persons. The incident occurred when Dixit was returning to his home in New Delhi by cab. Reportedly, an unidentified man argued with his cab driver over reversing the vehicle after which the driver left the spot. Later the man misbehaved with the director and had a fight with him. As the argument escalated, the man gathered two or three other people and all of them attacked Mayank and beat him to death. Mayank suffered some major injuries on his neck and head. He was first taken to Kailash Hospital but later doctors shifted him to AIIMS Trauma Center where he was kept under observation. However, a case was later registered against the accused under sections 308 (attempt to commit culpable homicide) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code.
