After the mediocre reception of the first season, La Brea will begin its second season on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, starring new actor Martin Sensmeier. The sci-fi series may have failed to wow reviewers with its rather disjointed plot, but it actually poses a host of puzzles to explore in the current season. The last episode of the previous season took the show in a whole new direction, somewhat mimicking Netflix’s Dark.
Viewers will be exposed to an ancient organization known as the Exiles in a new twist of the story. Taamet, the leader of this clan from 10,000 BC, will be played by Martin Sensmeier. With this ability, he will make a formidable opponent to the sinkhole survivors, especially the Harris family.
Avi Nir, Alon Shtruzman, Peter Traugott, Rachel Kaplan, Chris Hollier, Adam Davidson, Bryan Wynbrandt, Steven Lilien, Ken Woodruff and Arika Lisanne Mittman will executive produce alongside David Appelbaum for the upcoming season. Who is Martin Sensmeier from La Brea Season 2?
Martin Sensmeier is an Alaskan and European-American actor from the United States. He rose to fame playing Native American characters like Wanahton in HBO’s popular Westworld. Sensmeier was born in Anchorage, Alaska to Raymond and Eva Sensmeier in 1985, but grew up in Yakutat, Alaska. His father is German of Tlingit descent, and his mother is Koyukon-Athabascan, of Ruby, Alaskan descent. He has always felt very attached to the culture of his Alaskan grandparents.
Martin started his career as a welder. He then worked on an oil rig for Doyon Drilling before leaving to pursue acting in Los Angeles. Before taking the job at Beyond the Sky, he worked as a model. The movie was released after some of his follow-up efforts. He became known for playing Red Harvest, one of the main characters in the 2016 film The Magnificent Seven.
Martin Sensmeier appeared in The Chickasaw Rancher and Wind River in 2017. He joined the cast of Westworld the following year. His other notable roles include physical therapist Martin in Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone Season 2 and Sam in the 1883 prequel Salem, Lilin’s Brood, Perfect, Spare Room, FBI: Most Wanted, The Liberator, The Ice Road , Rutherford Falls and The Things They Carried are among his other merits. Martin is also of the Indigenous Health Institute, a youth advocacy organization.
