Mariel Heller was born on Monday, October 1, 1979 (age 41 years; as in 2020) in Marin County, California, United States. He did his schooling from St. Joseph Notre Dame High School in Alameda, California. She is a former member of Alameda Children’s Musicals, a performing arts theater in Alameda, where she performed in various plays such as Winnie the Pooh, Charlotte’s Web, and The Magician’s Nephew during her childhood days. He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). After this, he trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London for a year. After returning to California, he worked as a screenwriter. He also took a six-week crash course in film directing at the Sundance Institute Directors & Screenwriters Labs, Utah.

In 2010, after gaining stage rights, Heller produced an off-Broadway multimedia show starring the lead role of Minnie, a 15-year-old girl who begins an affair with her mother’s 35-year-old boyfriend. The play ‘Diary of a Teenage Girl’ was staged at the 3LD Art and Technology Center in Manhattan.
