“When I got the DUI…I came home from the hospital that night, sat down, drank a bottle of wine just to forget what had just happened,” John said. People. “And I never got sober.”

John then entered a 30-day substance abuse program in July 2015 because he hated the person he had become.
“I hated it. I really hated the way I felt, I hated disappointing people, I hated myself, I hated looking in the mirror and saying, ‘This is not who my parents raised.’ What am I doing?” “Who is this idiot? I’d be so embarrassed,” John said.
“I had everything growing up. I had a beautiful childhood,” she continued. “I had no excuse to ruin my life. And I did it and it made me sick.”
