According to the New York Post, Libbie Mugrabi, 43, damaged a former employee’s phone before threatening her with a knife after a disagreement over the employee’s salary on July 31, 2022.
According to Southampton Township Police, the strike ended when Libbie Mugrabi illegally evicted her former employee from Sag Harbor’s home. Mugrabi was arrested and charged with various counts, including two counts of second-degree intimidation, third-degree crime, and fourth-degree illegal possession of a firearm. After being charged at Southampton Crown Court, the 43-year-old was released on bail.

What we know about Libbie Mugrabi
Libbie Mugrabi is a wealthy activist and philanthropist, once married to billionaire businessman and art collector David Mugrabi. Bikellaw, the daughter of a plastic surgeon from New Jersey, said she met David while studying at a cooking school. Rosemary and Joseph Mugrabi are the two children of the former couple.
Libbie received a lot of attention in 2018 due to her highly publicized divorce from David. According to Page Six, the lawsuit involves a disagreement over items from a $5 billion art collection created by David Mugrabi’s father, Jose. Marianne Bertuna, her attorney, has defended her client’s integrity against allegations that she assaulted a former colleague.

“Libbie Mugrabi is the cornerstone of our community and an outstanding member of society.” The evidence will establish that she is not guilty of any charges. We hope this case will be quickly dismissed in its entirety.”
As of November 23, officials in New York have yet to release the identity of the employee who filed the complaint against Mugrabi.
