Kelly Clarkson reveals why she doesn’t let her kids use social media

Kelly Clarkson opens up about social media rules for her kids, River Rose and Remington Alexander.

The “Mine” singer, 41, shares her children with her ex-husband, producer and executive Brandon Blackstock.

During a Saturday (Jan. 6) cover interview with PeopleKelly shared that she doesn’t allow them to use social media right now.

Apparently, River tried to negotiate with his mother about it.

“That can be very difficult for children in general, but especially for children whose parents are in the public eye,” The Kelly Clarkson Show the host said about social media. “So I have informed you that under my roof you are never allowed to have [it].”

She recalled: “My daughter said to me, ‘Well, what if daddy leaves me?’ I say, ‘Well, you’re there four days a month.’ Enjoy it.’ And now he himself doesn’t let them do it either.”

Kelly told the magazine that she will listen to her children when they are older, “but until they have a solid argument, it’s a no.”

He recently revealed his current relationship status and talked about the possibility of getting married in the future.
