Prince Harry makes special trip on anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s death

Prince Harry clearly had Queen Elizabeth on his mind on the first anniversary of her death.

The Queen died on September 8, 2022 at the age of 96. Since then, her eldest son, King Charles, ascended the throne and the royal family has continued its life in the public eye.

On Friday, Prince Harry made a special trip to be closer to his late grandmother.

According to ET, Prince Harry was spotted at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. This is where the Queen is buried.

The Prince was in the United Kingdom to attend the WellChild Awards, which were held in London, England. And he noted that he mentioned the Queen while she was on stage at the event.

“As you know, I couldn’t attend the awards last year because my grandmother passed away,” he told the audience. “As you probably also know, she would have been the first person to insist that I still come to be with you instead of going to her, and that is precisely why I know that, exactly one year later, she is looking down on all of us. Tonight, happy to be together, we will continue to highlight such an incredible community.”

Earlier this week, a royal expert weighed in on Prince Harry’s relationship with Queen Elizabeth, particularly after he and Meghan Markle stepped back from royal duties years ago.
