Snack on This!, a reality documentary series, will premiere on The Cooking Channel on October 19 at 8:00 p.m. ET. The show will show viewers how to make sweets behind the scenes. Spectators will be able to watch the production of their favorite dishes. Discovery +’s Cakealikes’ Kalen Allen will serve as host. The popular YouTuber has about 908 thousand subscribers and is loved by many.

Ellen DeGeneres Reveals Snack on This Host! 2018
Kalen Allen is a multitasker, active all day. He studied journalism at New York University and acting at the prestigious Julliard School. He currently lives in New York, although he is originally from Kansas. Digital artist who appeared on Raised By Ricki, a podcast that examines 1990s pop culture as well as current generation’s cultural perceptions. Ricki Lake and the host of Snack on This! appear in podcasts.
When Ellen DeGeneres watched one of his cooking videos, award-winning actor, producer, musician, and TV personality Kalen Reacts went viral in 2018. He appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where he and Ellen discuss their experiences. Kalen Allen talks about his work, saying that the first video he made was when he found a prank chip and wanted to make a response video for his friends.
He declared:
“So I picked up my little phone and hit play and record. I corrected it. I posted it publicly. And then, when I went to bed that night, it had about 20 likes. I woke up the next morning to find I had over 6,000 followers on Twitter.”
Ellen showed another of his answer films to the audience and asked him where he got such interesting dishes to watch again. Kalen was a student at the University of Tampa at the time of the program and worked 5 more jobs to make ends meet. He used to be the ambassador of the student brand Amazon Prime, as well as the receptionist of the building where he lived. He works on the marketing team for the university’s theater and film department and co-hosts Temple Chat, an on-campus talk show.
Snack on This host! describes himself as a regular home cook who doesn’t like adding flavor to his food and claims that he makes a delicious Peach Cobbler. Ellen informed the artist that she thought he was funny and wanted to work with him to produce more films like this. Kalen Allen has come a long way since then and has been on The Ellen DeGeneres Show many times. He has been involved in a number of projects throughout his career and often attributes his success to Ellen. He will now host his first Cooking Channel show, Snack on This!, where he will take viewers behind the scenes to show them how to make their favorite snacks.
