Kevin Lemons, a popular gospel singer, has just passed away at the age of 44. Kevin’s family announced the news in an Instagram post describing Lemons at various stages in his life.

The cause of his death is still unknown, but 24update.net reported that he died of a heart attack.

Kevin Lemons is a member of Kevin Lemons & Higher Calling.
Kevin was born on September 12, 1978 and spent most of his youth in Atlanta, Georgia. Kevin’s grandmother, Annie Ruth Lemons, founded the Masonic Choir in Atlanta, which was later headed by Kevin’s father, Wilbert Lemons. Kevin Lemons & Higher Calling was founded in 1996 at a meeting organized by his father attended by Kevin and several other young singers. With Kevin at the head, the ministry gradually began to grow and they preached the message of love, unity, and spiritual growth among people. They are best known for their albums Destined for Greatness and The Statement, which reached the top of the Billboard charts.
Kevin Lemons & Higher Calling currently consists of 70 individuals, all known for their vocals and performances. Signed to Hez House Entertainment, Ministry rose to fame with the release of the album 3rd Round in 2021, which featured the hit For Your Good. The service’s singers are primarily from Atlanta, Alabama, California, Florida, Virginia, Maryland, Washington, DC, and New Orleans.
Kevin’s choral music is always warmly received by the audience. He often gives seminars at various educational institutions around the world. Famous musical people who have collaborated with him have praised his work. He has shared the stage with Bebe Winans, Donald Lawrence, Tamela Mann, Erica Campbell, Kirk Franklin and others. Lemons is the voice director for the 2018 Netflix series Come Sunday. The film was directed by Joshua Marston and stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jason Segel, Condola Rashad, Lakeith Stanfield, Stacey Sergeant, Vondie Curtis-Hall, Danny Glover and Martin Sheen was released on April 13, 2018.
According to Atlanta News First, Kevin’s company friend, Bishop Hezekiah Walker, described the late musician as a “wonderful person”.
“Everything he does is seasoned with his love for God and his palpable love for others is an extension of that love. Kevin Lemons is a wonderful person. great that everyone will remember forever.”
Tiunna, Kevin’s wife, outlived him. His record label, HezHouse Entertainment, said more details about his memorial will be announced soon.
