New pictures of the Jurassic World VelociCoaster at Universal Studios Orlando reveal the raptors that will be featured in the ride. The movie on which the ride is based centers on a theme park with real, genetically engineered dinosaurs called Jurassic World. Problems arise when the Indominus Rex escapes and releases the wrath of the other dinosaurs. An experienced military man and animal expert must protect the guests from the dinosaurs.
Universal Orlando has been open for over 30 years. However, the park has been diligent about growing and incorporating the movies that excite guests today. Some of the movies featured in the park include Despicable Me, Harry Potter, and Jurassic Park. All three of its parks—Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay—feature different fan-favorite movies. In addition, the park has become renowned for its thrill rides.
Universal Orlando has released new pictures of its upcoming Jurassic World VelociCoaster in preparation for its June 10 opening. The VelociCoaster is located in Universal’s Islands of Adventure. The pictures show realistic Velociraptor animatronics that will be in the attraction and by the ride. The Raptor Paddock is the first sight riders will get to enjoy while waiting to board the attraction. As red flashing lights and a rumble go off, guests will watch through windows as the coaster whirs by at 70 mph. In the next section, the stables, guests can interact with Blue and Echo animatronics face-to-face.
Jurassic World isn’t Jurassic World without the dinosaurs, and the VelociCoaster delivers. The premise of the ride is trying to escape the wrath of the Jurassic World Velociraptors Blue, Charlie, Delta, and Echo. The physical raptors seem to mostly be placed ahead of the ride. However, this will be an entertaining feature for riders who will likely have to wait in a long line to board. Additionally, the ride itself seems it will be worth the wait. The pictures also give a full-length look at the coaster, and it looks intense with upside-down tracks, sharp turns, and a big drop.
The VelociCoaster likely won’t disappoint true Jurassic Park fans. Not only are there plenty of dinos, but many members from the cast will be a part of the ride including Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, and BD Wong as Owen Grady, Claire Dearing, and Dr. Henry Wu, respectively. Guests who are big fans of Jurassic World and intense thrill rides will likely enjoy this ride the most. Parkgoers will likely have to buy their June 10 tickets ahead of time if they want to catch the ride’s premiere.
