The news comes a day after CBS made the announcement that East New York has been canceled after just one season, along with other network renewals and cancellations.

In the mountain’s topAmanda will star alongside Elementary Actor Jon Michael Hill.
Here’s the synopsis: “It’s April 3, 1968, and Martin Luther King, Jr. returns to the Lorraine Motel after delivering his historic ‘I’ve Been to the Mountaintop’ speech. While ordering room service, a young maid arrives with the revelation that she calls in Dr. King to confront unpleasant truths. As a storm rages outside, the legacy of America’s most revered civil rights leader is laid bare to reveal his deep humanity. The one night he faces racism, righteousness and the rocky road to justice, the mountain’s top Imagine what Dr. King’s last night on Earth might have been like.
Previews of the mountain’s top begins Tuesday, June 6 at the Gil Cates Theater at the Geffen Playhouse. Opening night is Thursday June 15th. The work will last until July 9.
