Brad Brownell is an American college basketball coach. Brad Brownell is the current head basketball coach at Clemson University.
Education and early age
Brad Brownell was born on November 15, 1968. His full birth name is Bradley Robert Brownell. Currently his age is 53 years old and his sun sign is Scorpio. He is originally from Evansville, Indiana, United States. His father’s name is Robert Brownell, while his mother’s name is Genevieve Brownell.

Career
Immediately after graduating, he became a coach, joining Evansville as an assistant. And the following year, in 1992, he held the same position at Indianapolis until 1994 and then at UNC Wilmington. Similarly, in 2002, he was promoted to head coach at Wilmington, where he served until 2006, winning 2 CAA regular seasons and 2 CAA tournaments.
Brad then came to Wright State in 2006, Wright State where he participated in the 2007 Horizon League regular season and the Horizon League Tournament. Also, in the year 2010, he was hired as the head coach of Clemson. He held the same position at Wright State and UNC Wilmington before coming to Clemson. Brad is currently in his 12th season at Clemson.
Additionally, on July 19, 2018, it was announced that Brownell and Clemson had agreed to a 6-year, $15 million contract extension. Therefore, this extension will keep Brownell at the school through 2024. He also led the Tigers to the program’s first road win at UNC after 59 tries on January 11, 2020. Additionally, the series between the two schools began in 1926.
