The City of Seven Bridges, Jacksonville is also known as the doorway to Florida and, according to legend, a doorway to the Civil Rights Movement.
Retired Lieutenant Colonel Alton Yates, an American hero with a long list of achievements, was born there at the age of 87. Toni Yates, an Eyewitness News reporter, is his daughter.
Toni remarked, “What do we have over here, this is from the pope.” Alton explained that it was for exceptional service to the church and the neighborhood. “Of course, this picture of my grandchildren is the most significant one on this wall.”

Stapp in exploring the bodily boundaries in preparation for future space exploration. At Holloman, Alton was working on something physically punishing for the greater good.
