This Christmas season, Food Network is launching a new reality TV cooking competition, Bake It ‘Til You Make It. The upcoming series will premiere on Monday, December 26, 2022, at 8:00pm ET/7:00pm CT, the day after Christmas. Bake It ‘Til You Make It features seven “passionate” bakers competing for a chance to win. Donavon ‘Monty’ Alderman, a former football player and high school coach, was one of seven competing bakers.
According to the official synopsis of the culinary reality TV show:
“The Food Network will leave the studio to follow seven talented amateur bakers. They set off to participate in nationwide baking competitions, all in the pursuit of the world’s best taste: victory. .”
Monty’s sports career took a detour a few years ago when he decided to pursue a career in baking and since then he has not looked back.
Monty from Bake It ‘Til You Make It switched from sports to baking and became a cooking instructor.
Monty from Bake It ‘Til You Make It is the owner of Monty’s Neighborhood Snacks, where he teaches cooking workshops. Monty’s professional Instagram feed says his tagline is:
“Bring candy to the street, one cookie at a time and smile.”
Monty’s company has an Instagram account under the name @montsneighborhoodandsnacks. He has more than 2,400 followers and often posts photos and videos of his adventures and baking. Monty shares everything and is very active on Instagram, from cakes to desserts and other sweets. He also holds a cooking class where he teaches his students 4- to 12-course meal plans. According to one of his posts on Instagram:
“Cooking will have 4-12 hours of face-to-face instruction. These programs will teach strategies to help people develop and improve their culinary skills. The eight-week course will cover everything from egg tarts to pasta. All the lessons are interesting and stimulating.”
In addition, it offers a hands-on cooking session where students work in small groups to prepare meals with the teacher. Monty also has a local business on Instagram called @hoodsnacksde, where he shares similar things.
According to its website, it describes its company as follows:

His bakery company has been featured on a number of food and travel websites across the country. Travel Noir magazine named her one of America’s 50 best bakeries.
