Southern Hospitality is a spin-off of Bravo’s Southern Charm, of which Lev Bonaparte is a key member. She plays a boss who runs a high-profile Charleston nightclub and manages a tight-knit workforce in the new series. Mikel Simmons, the VIP host at Leva’s nightclub, Republic Garden & Lounge, was one of the employees. He was born and raised in Charleston to a devout Christian family.
As shown in various trailers and commercials for this season, he is expected to bring drama to Southern Hospitality. Despite having worked with the organization for a long time, Mikel can make his employer uncomfortable. Only time will tell if they will extend the season or not.
Mikel considers himself to have “two lives”.
Mikel Simmons will experience many emotions at Southern Hospitality. The teaser shows him admitting that he hasn’t told his family about his sexual orientation.
Mikel says:
“Imagine living two lives in the same body. My family doesn’t know that I like men.”
According to the VIP presenter’s profile, he feels he is living a double life because his church and family don’t know that he prefers boys. Mikel grew up in a devout Christian family and it will be interesting to watch him tell the truth to his family.

“Charleston-based host Mikel Simmons/VIP is known for bringing joy everywhere he goes.” Mikel is now ready to go public with his friends and respected church group after being tormented by his past when he thought he was living a different life.”

Mikel has lived his entire life in Charleston, South Carolina. He attended Wando High School before enrolling for a one-year course at Seacoast School of Worship for a “worship studies completion certificate,” according to his LinkedIn page. In 2019, he graduated from Southeast University, where he studied “worship leadership, theology, and pastoral studies.” He was employed by the Charleston County School District as an after-school counselor. He became a worship leader at Freedom Church after working there for almost two years. He now works in the hospitality industry with many restaurateurs to attract celebrities and big parties to Charleston’s nightclubs.
According to his LinkedIn page, he works as a part-time commission sales associate at Leva’s Republic Garden & Lounge. Leva punched Mikel in a Southern Hospitality short for stabbing her in the back and taking high-class customers to a rival restaurant. Mikel, who was from Charleston, knew many of Levine’s southern friends. There are many pictures on his Instagram and Kathryn Dennis is having a good time.

The first season of Southern Hospitality will premiere on Bravo on Monday, November 28, 2022 at 9:00 p.m. ET. The episode will also be available on Peacock the following day. Leva Bonaparte, Mikel Simmons, Grace Lilly, Maddi Reese, Joe Bradley, Luca Pea, Will Kulp, TJ Dinch, Emmy Sharrett, Bradley Carter and Mia Alario are among the cast of the new reality series.
