Meet Dr. Charles Procter, who will appear in Season 2 of 1000-lb Best Friends.

Tina, Vannessa, Meghan and Ashely star in 1000-lb Best Friends as they strive to live a better life through their weight loss mission. While fans have front-row seats to see the adventures of reality stars, one more person is following them closely. Dr. Charles Procter appeared in the first season and is expected to return in the second season. Bariatric Surgeons are board-certified surgeons with over 15 years of experience in general surgery and bariatric surgery. He was formerly a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. He is also of the American Hernia Society.

Once qualified, the 1,000-lb BFF member began his medical career in 2007. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Miami in Ohio before going on to study microbiology and cell biology. at the University of Georgia. Dr. Procter graduated from the University of Georgia School of Medicine in 2002 and completed a general surgery residency at the facility in 2005, followed by a residency at Greenville Health System in 2007.
