Meet Dr. Charles Procter, who will appear in Season 2 of 1000-lb Best Friends.
Tina, Vannessa, Meghan and Ashely star in 1000-lb Best Friends as they strive to live a better life through their weight loss mission. While fans have front-row seats to see the adventures of reality stars, one more person is following them closely. Dr. Charles Procter appeared in the first season and is expected to return in the second season. Bariatric Surgeons are board-certified surgeons with over 15 years of experience in general surgery and bariatric surgery. He was formerly a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. He is also of the American Hernia Society.
Once qualified, the 1,000-lb BFF member began his medical career in 2007. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Miami in Ohio before going on to study microbiology and cell biology. at the University of Georgia. Dr. Procter graduated from the University of Georgia School of Medicine in 2002 and completed a general surgery residency at the facility in 2005, followed by a residency at Greenville Health System in 2007. In an interview with TLC , the doctor described bariatric surgery as “an amazing field.”
Then he said:
“This job is highly technical, but it allows me to go on an amazing adventure with his patients. Watching someone’s life change dramatically for the better time after time is the greatest job in the world.”
However, not every patient’s journey is the same. Vannessa’s surgery was approved by a doctor at 1000-Lb Best Friends, and she has since focused on living a better life.
The cast said in a trailer for the upcoming season that she had the surgery over six months ago and is feeling “great”. She claims that she eats healthier and that she doesn’t miss out on bad food. Meanwhile, Meghan appeared distressed and reluctant to go see Dr. Procter. Megan was annoyed during her doctor’s interview during a quick check-up.
In the video he says:
“One of my main goals with Meghan is to encourage her to take charge of her health.”
She asked Meghan if she was doing what she needed to do to be successful and reminded her that she didn’t have a doctor’s appointment yet. Meghan was seen crying as she rushed out of the clinic with Tina. See what happens when Season 2 of 1000 lb Best Friends kicks off on TLC on Wednesday, January 4.
