The next season of Below Deck starts on Bravo on Monday, November 21, 2022, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Camille Lamb, a former American Idol contestant, will join Below Deck as a deckhand and cook. In 2021, she participated in American Idol. She has recently joined the crew of the superyacht St. David.
Captain Lee Rosbach will once again be in command of St. David. Chef Rachel Hargrove and Chief Stew Fraser Olender are both returning to the Caribbean to captain the motor boat. Camille will be joined by new employees Stews Hayley De Sola Pinto and Alissa Humber, Deckhands Tony Duarte, Katie Glaser, Ben Willoughby, and Bosun Ross McHarg in the following season.
Camille Lamb from Below Deck participated in American Idol season 19.
Stew Camille participated in season 19 of American Idol in 2021 before joining Below Deck. During the show’s San Diego audition, the singer and composer even got a Golden Ticket. She was summoned to Hollywood and sang a duet with Althea Grace. Camille performed Bad Company’s Feel Like Makin’ Love in the Showstopper Round (Top 64) but did not make it to the Top 24.
The Mississippi native felt “lost” after being eliminated, so she “returned to her roots on the water.” Camille is a “5th Generation Seafarer,” according to her Instagram account. She is from a merchant mariner family. She started sailing when she was nine years old. She started her yachting career in the Virgin Islands, but she has also worked in Los Angeles and Miami.
Despite her background, she finds it challenging to work “both on deck and within the boat as a deck/stew” on Below Deck. Due to her dual position, she “loses motivation on board,” according to her show’s profile. Camille gets into a fight with stew Alissa Humber in the trailer when the latter informs her:
“Everyone is actually saying, ‘We need someone faster.’”
Camille responds by saying:
“All right, then you f*cking do it.”
Camille identifies herself in the reality TV promo as:
“I’m from a little town in Mississippi.” I have a large personality. “I like twerking.”
