The Walking Dead just changed up its logo for its final batch of episodes. The AMC series abandoned its current logo for a brand-new one in The Walking Dead season 11, episode 17, titled “Lockdown”. The new version has taken on a much crisper look, complete with a bleeding effect.
It’s a big change from the previous logo, which was covered in green leaves. It seems that The Walking Dead season 11 has opted to swap out the earthy appearance of the logo with something a bit different, perhaps in the interest of offering a new intro for the final eight episodes. Other noticeable adjustments to the title sequence were made as well, such as a few new shots and some minor tweaks to the music. It’s also been suggested that since the spot of blood is so small, the plan may be to make it bigger and bigger with each episode until it finally takes over the entire logo during the intro for the series finale. That would make sense, and could also fit with the stakes and tone of the current story.
Is Walking Dead Planning Several Deaths For Season 11’s Ending?
The bloody Walking Dead logo could be a sign of things to come as the show reaches its conclusion. The fight with Lance Hornsby in The Walking Dead season 11 part 3 premiere was a bloodbath on its own, but it didn’t feature any significant causalities. So far, the principal characters on both sides have managed to persevere. It’s hard to say, though, how long that can last. It feels like it’s only a matter of time before the fighting results in some real consequences. Both Lance and Sebastian are most likely on the chopping block in the final episodes, with Pamela Milton also feeling like an option for an untimely end.
Who Will Die In The Walking Dead Season 11 Part 3?
The Walking Dead’s track record has scary implications for the main characters, as it’s certainly true that the show has a well-earned reputation for killing off fan favorites during pivotal moments. That being said, it’s important to note that the last few seasons have held back considerably in that respect. But with the series ending, it’s not outside the realm of possibility that the Walking Dead will get back to its roots with multiple surprise deaths. But even so, the show is extremely limited in terms of whom it can actually kill. Future plans for the franchise have marked three core characters safe. Daryl, Negan, and Maggie will all return with spinoffs after The Walking Dead season 11 part 3’s ending.
While plans for the future could prevent The Walking Dead from delivering deaths as impactful or shocking as what the show did with Lori, Glenn, or Carl, the potential at least exists for The Walking Dead season 11 part 3 to be a bloody affair filled with tragic moments. The fact that the show boasts a massive cast means that it can technically kill off several characters before the series reaches its finish line. So while staples of the franchise are unlikely to be touched, Magna, Jerry, Yumiko, Kelly, and even Aaron are all among the candidates for season 11 deaths.
