The gruesome series follows the titular characters on their mission to take down The Seven, an elite team of superhumans controlled by the corporation Vought. The Boys has made quite an impact, with Amazon greenlighting two spin-off shows, an animated anthology series in The Boys Presents: Diabolical and a live-action show focused on a superhero college. While fans wait for the second spin-off, The Boys season 3 promises to deliver a wild story, jam-packed with action and Butcher’s cursing. Set a year after the events of season 2, season 3 sees Butcher and Hughie working for the government. However, the calm before the storm can only last for so long. When there’s word of a weapon that could bring down Supes, Butcher, Hughie and the rest of The Boys jump at the opportunity to find it, which puts them in the direct path of The Seven and a reemerged Supe called Soldier Boy, whose aggressive and unhinged behavior might rival that of Homelander’s.
The Boys season 3 releases its first three episodes all at once before it moves to the weekly model for the remaining five episodes. As for the exact time fans can watch the first few episodes, The Boys season 3 releases to Prime Video on Friday, June 3 at 12:00 a.m. GMT, which is 7:00 p.m. ET/4:00 p.m. PT the previous day on June 2. Most other streamers, like Netflix, typically release new episodes at midnight PT. But Prime Video’s release format gives fans across North America the opportunity to watch The Boys in advance. Of course, varying time zones will dictate when viewers around the world will be able to watch. But whether or not one is able to watch the night before its release date, The Boys season 3’s first three episodes will be available to watch on Prime Video throughout the day on Friday, June 3.
The Boys season 2 shook up the status quo and season 3 will likely do more on that front. This could be especially true with the arrival of Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy, a Supe from the era of World War II who hasn’t been around for a while. Soldier Boy will be joined by a few new characters, including Little Nina (Katia Winter), a powerful Russian crime boss, Gunpowder (Sean Patrick Flannery) and Blue Hawk (Nick Wechsler), both of whom are members of Soldier Boy’s old team Payback. The introduction of new Supes will surely shake things up further as the new season unfolds.
The diabolical series will also see Homelander at his most unstable in season 3. The character worked alongside Aya Cash’s Stormfront in The Boys season 2 and that backfired spectacularly, so he will likely be dealing with the fallout of their alliance and it could cause him to become even harder to control. Whatever The Boys season 3 has in store will surely develop the characters and hopefully bring the titular characters back together in their fight against The Seven.
