Mahesh Pandey is an Indian YouTuber and freelance journalist and actor. He came to the attention of the people when his video went viral in which he was seen doing sit-ups in a half-naked state. The video was shot by television actor Vishal Singh in retaliation for a video shot by Mahesh against Bhojpuri actor Pawan Singh, whom Vishal considers his elder brother.

In 2023, a video of Mahesh Pandey went viral in which Mahesh could be seen doing sit-ups in a semi-nude position. Apparently, the video was shot by Vishal Singh who, with the help of a girl, had called independent journalist Mahesh Pandey to a hotel in Noida to record an interview. When Mahesh reached the hotel room, Vishal forcefully asked him to take off half his clothes and do sit-ups. In the video, Vishal can also be seen pressuring Mahesh Pandey that he will not make any video against Pawan Singh in future. Later, a controversy erupted after Mahesh Pandey issued a suicide threat to Vishal Singh and others through a social media post which read,
Maybe I will leave this world today because of Bhojpuri stars Pawan Singh, Vishal Singh, Deepak Singh and Vicky Singh.
