We all fell in love with Cote de Pablo during his time at NCIS. The Chilean-American played Ziva David on the long-running CBS series. First, Pablo caused a sensation in the entertainment scene as a co-host of the Latin American talk show Control.
De Pablo earned a place at the famed Carnegie Mellon University, where he studied music and theater. After graduation, acting took precedence over music.

Ziva David’s departure from NCIS turned out to be very unpopular with fans. However, Pablo told fans that she was open to the return of the character.
“The idea of leaving was not something I played with for a long time,” said Cote de Pablo. “The best thing about this latest episode is that Ziva doesn’t die, the character can always come back.”
Fan thought Ziva would reappear for David Weatherly’s final episode, but Cote de Pablo opted not to reappear. Michael Weatherly played Ziva’s love interest in the series. Cote de Pablo spoke to a crowd at Babson College about her refusal to return:
“I chose not to. I worked eight years creating this character and loving her. I felt or perceived that the character was not being treated with the respect that he believed he deserved. So there’s no money in the world (it would make me stay). Unless someone can really write something fantastic, I won’t be back.”

Rumors suggest that Ziva will appear in NCISthe new series of NCIS: Hawaii. The series premiered in September 2021.
Cote de Pablo is not part of the announced main or recurring cast, but we cannot rule out his appearance later in the series. NCIS executive producer Steve Binder said tv line in December 2020:
“It’s always going to be, ‘Let’s not grab Cote and put her in.’ It’s, ‘Let’s think of a story first, and see if it’s something worth bringing that character back.’ We’ve really played, by now, all the cards there are to play [with Ziva], so we have no plans at the moment. But we’re certainly open to it.”
Pablo’s reasons for leaving NCIS remain shrouded in mystery

Pablo’s first departure from NCIS it was not planned, he told her tv guide. She left on her terms, but she didn’t enjoy the way he left.
In 2016, he blamed ‘political reasons’ as the reason for his departure. He added that he didn’t like the direction the show planned for Ziva. “They were going to send [Ziva] to return to Israel to turn her into an unfortunate and miserable woman… and it didn’t seem fair to me,” she said of Paul.
Pablo’s next comment about his 2013 exit suggests that there is more to the story than her or the NCIS hierarchy have revealed. She said:
“I’m not ready to talk about it yet. I will some day. But I didn’t leave because I wanted to go or because I was ready or because I was tired. I really had no choice.”
Whatever the reason for his departure, Cote agreed to a brief return to NCIS. She said coming back “was like putting on a very comfortable slipper again.” However, she found it difficult to get used to the fight scenes.
cote said BUILD series who quickly went through the characters and emotional scenes, but had a harder time executing the action scenes. She said:
“We did it, you know. And the magic of television picks up bits here and there. But, yes, they are challenging. There was a part of me that said, ‘How am I going to hide this from everyone here?’ I just look down and say, ‘Don’t worry. Don’t have a panic attack. You will get over it. It was not easy.”
De Pablo’s departure after his second return was a happier affair than his first departure. “It’s a different journey and I’ll leave it at that,” Cote said. “It’s a beautiful walk away.”
Cote has no qualms about social media, but she doesn’t think it fits into her life.
One of the main reasons why we know so little about Cote de Pablo’s life is that she is not on social media.
Of Paul he said BUILD series that it does not occur to him to take photos when he is having fun. “I’m just having fun and I’m too busy having fun so I haven’t really had a moment,” she said.
He loves how people use social media for promotion and creative expression. Cote isn’t entirely against the idea of joining social media, but it would have to be a creative outlet rather than a personal account. She explained:
“I guess I’m trading with myself because I’m an incredibly private person. You love doing those things and it’s hard to fall in love with those activities to stop in the middle of them and remember to document them.”
