Speaking to The Guardian, Molly shared that while she enjoyed Julia’s performance, the story was not for her.
“Julia Roberts was wonderful in it, but I really didn’t like the story,” she shared. “Even then, I felt like there was something gross about it.”
In that same interview, Molly also revealed that she had been turned down for roles in The silence of the lambs and working girl.
“I didn’t really feel like the darker roles were available to me. The ones I wanted to do, I couldn’t get them ”, she adds. “I was too young for certain roles. She was in this weird in-between stage.”
In another interview, Julia explained why she hadn’t done a romantic comedy in over 20 years.
