Dancer
In 2014, she and her friend Nicole Concessao started the dance company ‘Team Naach’ which taught various dance forms like Bollywood, hip hop, belly fusion, classical fusion, and freestyle to students in India and even abroad. The first class that they took had only 20 students. In 2007, Nicole and Sonal met in college and became friends because they were part of the same dance team. After their graduation, they went on to pursue their own career, but their passion for dance brought them together and they decided to start Team Naach. She used to take classes with Nicole in a studio twice a week, but not many students got along with them.

Their first video on the song Muqabala went viral on social media and they became really famous. Many students joined them through social media and started learning Kathak, hip hop, and belly dance. In an interview, she talked about this and said,
There was a new studio which opened in Khar, Mumbai and since both of us loved dancing, we decided to teach a class on an impulse. To attract students, we posted a song on our Facebook pages. We rendered Prabhudeva’s Muqabala in HipHop, Kathak and bellydance and got a lot of love online from our friends and juniors in college. That marked our initiation into the world of online dance.”
Sonal and Nicole run a YouTube channel with the name ‘Team Naach’ that has over four million subscribers.

- She finished school in Bahrain and came to Mumbai to study. There she started taking part in many dance competitions and gigs.
- She participated in the beauty pageant and after becoming the runner-up there, she was offered many South Indian films. She did her first movie, but while she was shooting her second film, the directors stopped responding to her calls and made the film without her.
- Before becoming a dancer, she changed many professions. She did modelling, acting, and worked as a wedding photographer.
- In an interview, she revealed her unpleasant experience with some of the producers and directors became a reason for her to not continue acting.
