Vishnu Dev Sai aka Vishnudev Sai was born on Friday, 21 February 1964 (age 59 years; as of 2023) in Bagiya village, Kansabel tehsil of Jashpur district, Chhattisgarh (then in Madhya Pradesh), India. He led the BJP in forming governments in Chhattisgarh twice under the leadership of three-time Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Raman Singh. He became a member of the BJP National Working Committee in December 2022. He was appointed as the Chief Minister (CM) of Chhattisgarh in 2023.

threatening a government official

In August 2022, a video went viral in which Vishnu Dev Sai was seen talking to a person on the phone and threatening to bury him alive after beheading him. He was also seen abusing the man other times. Later it was reported that the person was a CREDA (Chhattisgarh State Renewable Energy Development) official named Sandeep Banjare. It is alleged that a few days ago, CREDA officials had broken the statue of India’s 10th Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to install high mast light. This statue was installed at Atal Chowk in Saraitoli village of Kunkuri tehsil of Jashpur district. When he was criticized for verbal abuse, Tsai later apologized for his remarks.
