Bhanushali started his career as a clearing and forwarding agent at Mumbai Customs. Later, Vinod worked as an associate junior employee for Sahara Movie Studios. While he was working there, Gulshan Kumar, founder of Super Cassettes (T-Series) saw his work and asked Vinod to join him. In November 1994, he offered Vinod to work with T-Series, an opportunity Vinod did not want to refuse.

He devoted all his time to working for Gulshan Kumar, even if it meant working more than 18 hours a day. Initially, he worked under the production team, where his work mainly involved booking dates for shooting films and songs, fine-tuning the logistics and coordinating with directors, producers and artists (for music videos). Between 1996 and 1997, Vinod earned a position in the marketing team. The first task they had to do was to get their music on the channel [V] India. In 2021, he started his own production house, Bhanushali Studios Limited. The following year, he launched his own music label, Hitz Music.

Tax evasion raid in 2023
On April 19, 2023, the Investigation Wing of the Income Tax Department based in Mumbai searched the homes and offices of many well-known Bollywood producers. Along with Vinod Bhanushali, film producer and distributor Jayantilal Gada was also the target of the Income Tax raid. Bhanushali Studios Limited, Hits Music and Vinod’s home office were raided by the IT department for alleged income tax fraud and financial irregularities.
