- In an interview, when he was asked about changing his career from designing to filmmaking, he said,
This (direction) was not a deliberate effort. I wanted to direct a film for the last 12-13 years. It took me a long time to write this topic. Directing a film is like being the captain of a ship. I have been a technician behind the camera where I have been involved in the costume department. But storytelling is the biggest thing. I will not make a remake because I want to develop my own script. But I don’t think I can do horror, sex or comedy as a genre. I can just do romance or social drama, those are two genres I know I’m comfortable in. Also, when I write my second film, I won’t decide the language – but if not now, eventually, I will make a Hindi film. That’s something I know for sure.”
