Universal plans ‘Murder, She Wrote’ movie after end of strikes, writers and producers already signed

Murder, She Wrote, the popular TV show starring Dame Angela Lansbury, is coming to a cinema near you… after the Hollywood strikes end.

According to Variety, Universal Pictures is preparing a film version of the series.

They even lined up writers and a producer before writers and actors across Hollywood began strikes earlier this year.

The outlet noted that writers Lauren Schuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo signed on for the project before the Writers Guild of America reached an impasse in contract negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Pictures and Television Producers. SAG-AFTRA, the film actors guild, is also on strike due to negotiations with AMPTP.
