Speaking outside the courtroom in Santa Barbara, California, on Friday (September 1), Kevin told reporters: “This is a horrible place to be, but this is where we are,” according to People. “We are talking about someone I love on the other side. “I just can’t,” Kevin added.
When a reporter asked him if he “still loves” Christine, Kevin replied, “Of course.”
Kevin and Christine married in 2004 and have three children together: Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13.
During the two-day hearing, a judge ruled that Kevin must pay Christine $63,209 per month in child support, a decrease from the temporary monthly payments of $129,755 that Kevin was ordered to pay in July.
The week of the hearing, Christine submitted a request to increase the payments to $175,057, which was amended to $161,592 on Thursday. While speaking on the stand, Christine emphasized her children’s attachment to their Santa Barbara compound and stated that they are “very connected to the ocean; it’s her home.”
During his turn on the stand, Kevin said, “My biggest concern is that the court will order me to pay child support that is above the needs of my children and Christine’s needs.”
