Steven Spielberg was originally going to direct Indiana Jones and the dial of fate.
The 76-year-old director decided to walk away from the project in 2020 and was instead directed by James Mangold.
“Bob Iger had a screening for a lot of the Disney executives and I came to the screening along with director James Mangold. Everyone loved the movie. it’s very very good Indiana Jones movie. I’m very proud of what Jim has done with him,” he said at the TIME100 Summit 2023.

He Eastern Time manager started the Indiana Jones franchise in 1981 with in search of the lost ark and also directed three sequels: 1984’s temple of doom1989 last crusade and 2008 Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The entire film starred Harrison Ford.
Disney just confirmed that Indiana Jones and the dial of fate It will be the end of the franchise. The film will be released in theaters on June 30.
