Umesh belongs to a Hindu family. He started his acting career in 2010 with the Marathi film “Payback”, in which he played the role of a sub-inspector. He also acted in films like ‘Gajar: Journey of the Soul (2011),’ ‘Tapal (2014),’ ‘Killa (2015),’ ‘Vajander (2016)’.
In 2014, he made his debut in Kannada cinema with “Kalyanamastu”. The same year, he starred in Atmasakshi. Jagtap has appeared in Hindi films like ‘Charfutiya Chhokare’ (2014) and ‘Umrika’ (2014).
Umesh has also acted in various short films such as “Kamarband” (2015), “Mochi” (2016), and “Ukali (The Boiling Point)” (2017).
